Early Edition, Illustrated, Leather Binding

English Furniture of the Eighteenth Century by Herbert Cescinsky in half morocco bindings and cloth boards. 

Complete in three volumes. Volumes I and II of this set were published by George Routledge and Volume III by Waverley. 

Undated, dated from Jisc, the series was published between 1909 and 1911. 

Illustrated from drawings by the author and from photographs. 

Densely illustrated throughout the text with a photograph to nearly every page.

Herbert Cescinsky was a well respected authority of English and American furniture. 

Condition

In half morocco bindings and cloth boards. Externally, fair. The rear boards of Volume II and Volume III are detached and the front hinges are starting but firm and the front joint of Volume III is cracked, and the hinge has been repaired. The hinges to Volume I are strained but firm. There is rubbing to the heads and tails of the spines and wear to the leather. Internally, generally firmly bound. The last few pages of Volume III are disbound. All disbound pages are present. The pages are bright and clean.
