A first edition copy. 

The Flowers and Gardens of Japan are described by Florence du Cane and painted by Ella du Cane and explores the landscape gardening, nursey gardens and temple gardens of Japan and the various blossoms and flowers that grow within these gardens. 

Plate facing page four is loose, but al fifty plates are present. 
Collated, complete. 

With two pages of adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with some fading to the spine and bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Previous owner inscription to the front free endpaper. Internally firmly bound with bright and clean pages, just one plate is loose.
