What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Uncommon

A small paper vellum first edition by Liverpudlian poet Richard Le Gallienne.

In 1897, Le Gallienne, published a verse translation of some works attributed to eleventh century Persian poet Omar Khayyam. There was some debate over the philosophical outlook of Khayyam's work, which served as an inspiration for this scarce poetic satire by Le Gallienne. In it, drinking is used as a comedic solution to all philosophical dilemmas.
