What Our Customers Say...

Description

Limited Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

Limited edition of only 255 copies of which this is number 229. The principal part of the text is a verbatim copy of holograph Notes of Robert Burns in an interleaved copy of The Scots Musical Museum which belonged to Robert Riddell of Glenriddle, a friend and neighbour of Burns himself. Then follow the notes of Riddle in the same volume and a description of missing leaves. This work seeks to correct the misleading statements by R. C. Cromek that all notes were from the hand of Burns.

Condition

In the original green cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light rubbing to the extremities and a small mark to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
