A book of memoirs of the Comte de Rambuteau, French senior official in the early nineteenth century, known for establishing the groundwork for the transformation of Parries carried out by Haussmann under the Second Empire. Retracing his life from early days with details on his career and development. 

Illustrated with photogravures.

Condition

In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally sound with some shelf wear and bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, light damp marking to the spine and boards. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with photogravures.
