Illustrated with a colour frontispiece and nineteen colour plates. Collated complete.
This work was written by Scottish writer George William Thomson Omond, and features a collection of watercolour plates by Amedee Forestier, an artist who specialised in historical scenes and landscapes. The work describes and depicts the Belgium city of Liege and its region of trees and rolling hills, the Ardennes.

Undated, dated by copies held at the British Library.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with minor marks to the boards and slight rubbing to the extremities. Offsetting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with generally bright pages with spotting throughout. Plates however, remain clean.
