In the original vanishingly scarce unclipped dustwrapper.

An exploration of the vertebrate fauna commonly found in North Wales, one of the first works focusing on the zoology of the area.

Illustrated with a frontispiece, one colour folding map, and twenty-eight plates.

Collated, complete.

Prior owner's pencil inscription to the recto to the front endpaper.

Condition

In the original cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Some minor marks to the boards and spine. Dustwrapper with some repairs to the reverse, repairing closed tears and chips. A few light marks to the wraps. Author's inscription and prior owner's name to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with some odd spots. Very small closed tear to the folding map.
