Early edition of The Gardens of England in the Southern & Western Counties edited by Charles Holme in the original publisher's cloth binding.
A lovely collection of photographs and colour illustrations depicting England's many beautiful gardens.
Published as part of The Gardens of England series, also including 'In the Midlands and Eastern Counties' and 'In the Northern Counties'.
With 136 plates listed, including eight colour plates. Collated. Plates 114 and115 are missing, instead plates 129 and 130 are repeated twice. Plates 119 and 129 are the same plate repeated, but are numbered correctly in order.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
