What Our Customers Say...

Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

The first edition of this account of author Francis Miltoun's journeys around Provence and the Riviera via automobile.

With a colour frontispiece, and numerous full plate and vignette illustrations from American writer and artist Blanche McManus, 'reproduced from paintings made on the spot'.

McManus illustrated a number of Miltoun's similar French travel works, and also wrote a series of travel books herself with her husband, Milburg Francisco Mansfield, many of which similarly included information about automobiles which were a novelty at the time.

Condition
