What Our Customers Say...
Description
First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding
The first edition thus, being the first edition complete in one volume. Originally published in two volumes in 1906.
Winston Churchill's biography on his father, Lord Randolph Spencer-Churchill.
Randolph was a Tory radical politician, coining the term 'Tory democracy', inspiring a generation of politicians.
This touching biography was written eleven years after Randolph's death, Winston penning the work from 1903 to 1905. Naturally, as he was writing about his own father, Winston softened some of Randolph's less positive traits.
Illustrated with a frontispiece, two folding plates, and two colour plates.
Collated, complete.
