G. W. Appleton was an American writer and published twenty-two novels between 1878-1910 also writing The Lady in Sables, A Terrible Legacy and Rash Conclusions.

His novels usually involved professional men in arcane upper-class intrigue.

Condition

In the publisher's full cloth binding. Externally, a little worn. The joints and extremities are worn and bumped and the spine is bumped. There boards are also faded and there are some marks on the boards. Previous owner ink to the front free endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound and generally bright and clean with the odd scattered spot.
