Defoe's popular story of Robinson Crusoe, initially published in 1719, is one of the most widely published books in the world.

Presented as an autobiography of the main character Robinson, a castaway who lived over two decades on a remote tropical desert island, encountering cannibals, captives, and mutineers before being rescued. 

With colourful illustrations by W. B. Robinson. 

Daniel Defoe was an English writer, pamphleteer and spy. A prolific and versatile writer who helped popularise the English novel.

Condition

In the original publisher's full cloth binding with colourful illustration to front board. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only, lightly bumped to head and tail of spine, minor mark to rear board. Previous ownership inscription to front free endpaper dated 1931. Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting to fore edge, not affecting pages that remain bright and clean.
