Bookplate of Ivor A B Ferguson to the front pastedown, Ferguson was born at St George Hanover Square London and was the son of Colonel John Stephenson Ferguson and Sophia Jane Holford.
A second owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper, 'Laura Fuller 10 September 1953'.
Tipped in to the endpapers are many fantastic articles on Mary Queen of Scott's belongings, and associations, with accounts of sales of her jewellery.
Illustrated with fifteen plates.

In a half morocco binding, with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart. Light rubbing to the joints and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Prior owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper. Several articles pasted to the endpapers regarding Mary Queen of Scots. Pages are bright just the odd spots.
