This work is a unique perspective of India, as it is arguably warped by the presence of royalty. The author makes an intriguing preface to the work, stating that it offers a picture of the "old romantic magnificent India". 

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with rubbing and bumping to the extremities, heaviest to the head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean with offsetting and light spotting to the endpapers. Heavier scattered spotting to the fore edge. Owner's ink inscription to the front free endpaper.
