The first edition, second issue of this work with the advertisements dated 20.8.06. A science fiction novel by the prolific English author H G Wells. When a comet rushes towards earth, mankind is busy at war, killing, and scheming. Their lives are turned upside down when the earth passes through the comet's tail, causing everyone to be reborn in a world free of pettiness, injustice, and suffering.
Condition
In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally sound with minor shelf wear and some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, general light soiling. The lower left corner of the rear board is slightly creased. Internally, firmly bound. With a minor faint spotting to the endpapers, affecting only the odd leaf; otherwise the pages are generally bright and clean.
