What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Folding Maps, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

The scarce first UK edition of this work from American archaeologist, Egyptologist, and historian James Henry Breasted. This attractive work is illustrated throughout with photographic plates and illustrated vignettes, featuring a colour frontispiece also thirteen maps, one of which is a folding colour plate to the rear of the work. Collated, complete.

With chapters focusing on various important periods in Ancient Egypt, including the Feudal Age, the wars of Ramses II and the 'Ethiopian supremacy and the triumph of Assyria'.
