Edited by Harding Cox, with input from numerous well-known authorities on the subject, including Harold Warnes, Robert de Fonblanque and Lady Evelyn Ewart, among others.
This collection was originally published in five parts, entitled Volume I, Part I-V.
This set is comprised of Volume I with Parts I-IV.
Part I presents the Fox Terrier (smooth) and the Fox Terrier (wired). Part II contains information on the Irish Terrier, the Welsh Terrier and the Airedale Terrier. Part III covers the Scottish Terrier, the White West Highland Terrier, the Dandie Dinmont Terrier and the Skye Terrier. Part IV presents the Bedlington Terrier, the Bull Terrier, the Bull Terrier (miniature), the White English Terrier and the Black & Tan Terrier.
With eight plates to Part I, six plates to Part II, six plates to Part III and five plates to Part IV. Collated, complete.
Condition
In the publishers original cloth binding. Externally, smart, with light bumping to the extremities and a little rubbing to the joints. Slight marking to the boards, with fading to the extremities, moreso to the front board of Part III. Ink inscription of previous owner, Edith Kurt, to the front paste down or first blank. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright, with spotting to the fore edge and the odd scattered spotting throughout.
