Edited by renowned critic, and publisher, Henry Milford. In a beautiful quarter vellum binding. William Cowper was an eighteenth century poet and hymnodist who wrote numerous anti-slavery poems and was strongly involved in anti-slavery campaigns.
Condition
In a quarter vellum binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, generally smart with rubbing to the extremities. A few light marks to the spine and boards. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper, A L Charteris. Slight offsetting to the endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the odd spots.
