    Illustrated, Limited Edition, Pleasing Copy, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

    A limited edition copy of two hundred printed on paper by the Eragny Press. With texts in red and black and coloured frontispiece designed by L. Pissarro, and music type designed especially for this work from sixteenth century models. With twenty ballads in both English and French, representing the most popular poetry of the countries at the time. A scarce and valuable volume.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's green decorated paper covered boards, with titles to front bad. Externally very smart with slight shelfwear and bumping to head and tail of spine. Minor faint mark to front board. George Dunn library bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. With error in printing publication date 1905 as MCCCCMV.
