Irish author Alice Corkran, daughter of novelist John Frazer Corkran, wrote children's fiction and was an editor of children's magazines.
'Meg's Friend' is another of her stories aimed at young girls, focusing on themes of adolescence and the tribulations of developing into a young woman.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and bumping to the extremities and fading of colour to the spine. Internally, generally firmly bound except for frontispiece illustration, which is loose. Pages are generally clean with scattered spotting to the endpapers and to the fore edge, affecting the occasional page. Pages are age toned.
