In the sequel to Haggard's extremely popular novel, She, the reader is plunged into a story set in Tibet after Horace Holly encounters a manuscript containing a second memoir about Ayesha. Written by Sir Henry Rider Haggard, an English writer of adventure fiction romances set in exotic locations and a pioneer of the lost world literary genre. There are several variants to the first edition in terms of binding, this volume contains the following misprints as per the first edition: p.49 - "Khublighan" for "Khubilghan." p.207 - "heirophant" for "hierophant." Condition
In the original blue cloth binding. Externally sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. A o.5" split to the cloth at the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting throughout. A contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper dated 1906.
