Bookplate to the front free end paper of 'Siena'. Previous owner's ink inscription to the half title page of 'Siena'. Loosely inserted to 'Avignon' is an envelope, which is causing offsetting to pages 152 and 153.

The Story of Siena and San Gimignano by Edmund G. Gardner (1905, second edition). Illustrated with a frontispiece, numerous in-text illustrations and a folding map by Helen M. James.
The Story of Avignon by Thomas Okey (1911, first edition). Illustrated with a frontispiece, numerous in-text illustrations, seven plates in half-tone and two folding maps by Percy Wadham. This work is uncommon.
Collated, complete.
Condition
Uniformly bound in the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart, though slightly faded with faint marks to 'Avignon'. Mark to the rear board of 'Siena', which otherwise remains bright. Internally, firmly bound. Bookplate to the front free end paper of 'Siena'. Offsetting to the end papers and pages 152 and 153 of 'Avignon'. Pages are generally bright and clean to both, except for the odd spot and many pencil inscriptions to the first and last few pages to 'Siena'. Pages are untrimmed to 'Sienna'.
