It is the ninth volume in Lang's popular series of 25 Fairy Books and is illustrated with delightful engravings by Henry Justice Ford (1860-1941).
In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally smart, with a little bumping to the boards, extremities and head and tail of the spine. Both hinges are tender but still reasonably firm. Internally, the binding is slightly strained throughout. Pages are generally clean, with the odd spot and handling mark.
