    A first edition.

    Illustrated with twenty colour lithograph plates by Beerbohm. Extra-illustrated with loosely inserted duplicates of the Wordsworth and Verlaine plates.

    Collated, complete.

    A charming collection of satirical illustrations of poets both living and dead, including Omar Khayyam, Robert Browning, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, and Rudyard Kipling.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original pictorial cloth covered boards. Lacking back strip. Spotting to tail and fore edge of front board. Hinges lightly strained but firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Plates clean and bright. Edgewear and instances of chipping to perimeters of two loosely inserted duplicate plates.
