Leather Binding

Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806-1861) was an English poet. Her work was popular and successful during her lifetime, her best known works including poem 'How Do I Love Thee?' and 'Aurora Leigh'. She influenced American poets such as Emily Dickinson and Edgar Allan Poe.

A later edition, illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author.

Bound in contemporary leather with gilt edges and dentelles.

Condition

In a full crushed morocco binding. Externally very smart, with just a little bumping to the extremities and the raised bands. Leather is discoloured to the boards and spine as to be expected of this colour. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
