He also contributed to Encyclopaedia Britannica. His poems were known for their discussion of taboo topics such as lesbianism, cannibalism, sado-masochism and anti-theism. He is held in high esteem and regarded as a poet of the decadent school. A beautifully bound set of Swinburne's poetry. Uncommon to find all six volumes in such a smart condition.
