What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

Longmans' Colonial Library. Scarce edition. Published the same year as the first UK edition, unusually preceded by the US edition three months earlier. A very small print run under 2500 copies. This work tells the interwoven tales of three people living in a coastal area of England. It is a more emotionally charged novel than the typical adventures that Haggard is known for. Written by Sir Henry Rider Haggard, an English writer of adventure fiction romances set in exotic locations and a pioneer of the lost world literary genre. Publisher's advertisements to the rear.
