What Our Customers Say...

Description

Publishers' Original Binding

This faithful reprint of English writer and bishop John Earle's 'Microcosmographie', originally published in 1628 and reprinted several times during the author's life, was a hugely popular satirical and humorous work that pokes at the customs and manners of the time, with a quaint style that garnered Earle some remembrance for his wit. Reprint of 1633 sixth edition. A wonderful and lighthearted look at society, Earle's 'Microcosmographie' is lovingly presented again in this early twentieth century edition.

Condition

In the publisher's original quarter paper vellum binding. Externally, generally smart, with some shelf wear to the head and tail of the spine and some minor handling marks to the boards.
