Harry Furniss was a British illustrator known for his work forĀ Punch magazine, as well as the illustrations he completed for Lewis Carroll's 'Sylvie and Bruno'. He completed over 2,600 drawings for Punch, before moving to America and pioneering the first animated cartoon film for Thomas Edison.

Bound in a smart decorative gilt cloth.

With sixteen pages of publisher's advertisements at the rear of the work.

Richly illustrated throughout by the author.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; spine is a touch faded and bumped to the head and tail of the spine, with some bumping to the extremities. Library bookplates to the front pastedown and endpaper. Internally, front hinge has failed and binding is tender throughout. Pages are bright and clean.
