What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

Written by William Twopeny (1797-1873), an antiquary and printmaker who specialised in architecture.

Illustrated with ninety-three plates detailing all manner of household metal pieces, such as handles, latches and keys. Collated, complete.

A first edition of this work.

From the library of Frederick A. Wood, author of 'Collections for a Parochial History of Chew Magna'.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; some slight loss to the edge of the spine, and bumping to the extremities and head and tail of the spine has slightly discoloured the cloth. Library bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, generally firmly bound, with a little straining to the rear of the work. Pages have the odd instance of spotting, but are otherwise bright.
