The first editions of these works. 

No. 1 concerns 'Rural Schools in the Central Provinces' by H. Sharp.

No. 5 concerns 'The Training of Secondary Teachers' by H. Sharp, H. R. James. and J. Nelson Fraser. 

An interesting insight into colonial educational pursuits in India in the early twentieth century. 

Scarce works, with only three of No. 5 in libraries and five of No. 1.

From the Board of Education Reference Library with stamps to the title pages and institution labels to the rear boards.

Condition

In the original publisher's half cloth binding with paper covered boards. Externally, sound. There is a large closed tear to the front board of No. 1. There is some bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and to the extremities. There is some loss to the head of the spine of No. 5 and slight loss to the head of the spine of No. 1. From the Board of Education Reference Library with stamps to the title pages and institution labels to the rear board. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the odd spot and light age toning.
