Complete in six volumes. Each volume with four illustrations by George Cruikshank and Hablot Knight Browne (Phiz). Volumes are: Volume I and II- Tom Jones Volume III and IV- Amelia Volume V- Joseph Andrews Volume VI- Mr. Jonathan Wild. Henry Fielding was an English novelist and dramatist known for his humour and satire. His best known work is Tom Jones, a comic coming of age novel following the titular character's search for his true parentage

Condition

In original cloth bindings. Externally, sound with some rubbing and bumping. Fading to spine with handling marks and some light dampstaining to boards. Ink signature to front free-endpaper of Jonathan Wild and Tom Jones volume I. Rear hinge strained to Tom Jones volume I. Internally, generally firmly bound although strained in places throughout. Pages spotted particularly to first and last few pages. Some pages uncut and many rough cut with wear to fore edge.
