This book contains the author's impressions of children from different countries as they travelled around the world, discussing the attitudes towards them and their role in society. Illustrated by Mortimer Luddington Menpes, an Australian-born British painter, author, printmaker and illustrator. With text from his daughter, Dorothy Menpes.

Condition

In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and minor bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and a small split in the cloth to the rear joint. Hinges starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. Light scattered spotting to the first and last few pages.
