Fourth impression, published the same year as the first edition. With charming vignette illustrations throughout by G. L. Stampa. Lacking the original dustwrapper. Thy Servant a Dog is a charming collection of short stories, told from the perspective of Black Aberdeen Terrier, Boots.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding with pictorial detail to the front board. Externally in excellent condition with just minor bumping to the extremities and the head and tail of the spine. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with marginal age toning due to paper used.
