With chapters on the principles of conformation, names of the external parts, structure of the body, anatomy of the horse, distribution of weight, mechanisms of equine locomotion, attitudes, leaping, paces, intelligence and more. With commentary on various classes as well as horse-racing and wild horses. Written by M. Horace Hayes, an English veterinarian.

Condition

In the original green cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound with light spotting to the foredge and further spotting to the endpapers. The odd small handling mark.
