The first edition of this work.

'Highlands of Asiatic Turkey' details the author's experiences travelling through Asiatic Turkey, particularly the highlands of the area.

Illustrated with a frontispiece, two folding maps, eight monochrome plates, and in-text illustrations.

Collated, complete.

Written by Earl Percy, Henry Percy, a British Conservative politician.

Bookplate to the front pastedown, 'James William MacArthur Onslow'. Onslow was a soldier, grazier, and politician, a member of a prominent New South Wales family.

Thirty-four pages of publisher's adverts to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine. Light marks to the boards and spine. Bookplate and bookseller's label to the front pastedown. A few spots to the fore edge. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are very lightly age-toned with some spots.
