The first edition of this work. A scarce copy in all editions, held institutionally by four libraries only. A guide to cricket with practical hints on how to play by some experts in the field. Edited by G. L. Jessop, cricket player considered to be one of the fastest run-scorer cricket has ever known. Other contributors include C. B. Fry, K. S. Rajintsinhji, and G. Brann.

Condition

In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally sound with minor shelf wear and bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, light soiling to the boards. Internally, the hinges are slightly strained, the binding generally tender with the occasional lead slightly loose. The pages are clean with a touch of age toning, as usual with the type of paper used.
