What Our Customers Say...

Description

Original Binding

The spines are decorated with gilt title detailing and gilt stars to indicate volume numbers. Taken from the English Garner which was issued in eight volumes, this edition includes an introduction by Raymond Beazley (1868 - 1955), a British historian. First edition thus. Complete in two volumes.

Condition

Cloth binding with gilt title detailing on spine. Externally, very smart with some bumping to extremities. Hinges very slightly strained. Internally, Volume II is firmly bound, binding is slightly strained in places in Volume I. Pages are bright and clean, although the pastedowns and free endpapers have some spotting, and there is light spotting to the fore-edge on both volumes.
