Illustrated, Leather Binding
With numerous illustrations throughout the text, and forty-nine photographic plates, one of which is a tipped original photograph of Fleaur de Reve, by M. Bergon. Volume two, of the original two volumes. Issues include March 15th number 13, April 15th number 14. June 15th number 16, and September 15th, number 19. The Photographic Journal played an important part in spreading the knowledge of photography amongst the early photographers from the 1850s onwards. Notices of Photographic Society Meetings, new discoveries, and papers read at Society Meetings were all reported in the journals. Edited by Harry Quilter and Fred C. Shardlow. Featuring work from A. Horsley Hinton, Clarence H. White, and James Gale.
Condition
In original half calf binding with cloth covered boards, and gilt lettering to the spine. Externally, sound, with light rubbing, and minor wear to extremities. Internally, firmly bound, bright and clean, aside from the odd handling mark.
