Lieutenant-Colonel William Price Drury was a Royal Marine Light Infantry officer who is best known for his dramatic and prose works on naval themes. His play 'The Flag Lieutenant' was even filmed three times, twice as a silent film in 1919 and 1926, and then again with sound in 1932. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with pictorial front board. Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, minor shelf wear to extremities and head and tail of spine. Slight marking to boards. Rear hinge strained, but reasonably firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to front pastedown. Internally firmly bound, strained in places. Pages slightly age toned to edges, with scattered spots. Heavier spotting to first and last few pages.
