What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, First Edition, Illustrated, Rebound

The first trade edition. Collated complete with 92 full page plates, 77 in colour and 15 in monochrome. The illustrator of this work John Fulleylove was an English landscape artist and illustrator who illustrated a number of works for A&C Black, such as The Holy Land. It is, however, rather unusual, as most of his art is based on English scenes, particularly London and its surrounding areas. The illustrations are accompanied by text by John Kelman who describes in great detail the areas across the middle east painted by Fulleylove. A beautiful example of this highly illustrated and detailed travel work.

Condition

Rebound in a half morocco binding with gilt detail to the spine. Externally in excellent condition with some slight rubbing to the extremities, boards and the head and tail of the spine.
