Description

Colour Plates, Folding Maps, Rebound

The ninth edition of George Adam Smith's interesting work on the geography of the Holy Land.

Illustrated with five maps, four of which are folding, but lacking the general map of Palestine called for in a pocket at the rear of the volume.

In this attractively rebound volume, the Scottish theologian draws on his visits to the Holy Land to sketch a geography of Palestine. As well as reflecting on the relationship between geography and biblical criticism, Smith explores how Israel's physical features may have contributed to its religious development.

Prior owner's stamp to the recto of the front endpaper. The book previously belonged to Rev. J. H. Williams
