Bound in a full-calf binding for King Edward VI Grammar School by the Cornish Brothers.
This is a collection of myths, legends, and fables connected with the Trojan War, which the author fashioned to be 'made familiar to boys'.
Contents include 'Origin of the Myrmidons', 'How Peleus Captures Thetis', 'Achilles Supports Kalchas', 'Paris Challengeth Menelaos', and 'Pandaros and Aineias'.
Written by Walter Copland Perry (1814-1911), a British author and barrister-at-law. Perry published several works involved with history and classical literature, such as 'The Franks, From Their First Appearance in History to the Death of King Pepin', and 'Sicily in Fable, History, Art, and Song'.

Bound in a full-calf binding. Externally, smart. Wear to the extremities and the edges of boards, as well as the spine. Fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very clean throughout, with light age-toning to the margins of text.
