Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

A children's anthology from 1902 containing religious short stories revolving around the lives and lessons of various saints, such as Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Basil.

The second edition of this work, with the first edition published in 1898. 

Illustrations by T.H. Robinson, including a detailed frontispiece and seventeen full-page black and white illustrations. 

Collated, complete.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally generally smart, with rubbing and little fading to boards. A bit of bumping and wear to the head and tail of spine, resulting in a little loss to the head of the spine, with a small crack on the front joint. Spine is a little discoloured. Light bumping to the extremities. Spotting on the front and rear pastedown. Ink writing to the verso of the front end paper from a previous owner. Internally, generally firmly bound, with binding loosening in places, particularly in the middle of the book. Pages are generally bright and clean with light spots to the fore edge, which affects the occasional page.
