First edition of The Confessions of a Caricaturist by Harry Furniss in the original publisher's cloth bindings.

Complete in two volumes. 

An autobiographical account of the author's life, his inspirations, and his art. 

Harry Furniss was a British illustrator who often illustrated for the Illustrated London News and Punch. He is also recognised as the illustrator of Lewis Carroll's novel Sylvie and Bruno. 

Densely illustrated throughout in black and white.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth bindings. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The hinges are slightly strained but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the odd spot.
