With statements on the subjects of: planning a campaign, the dangers of retreat, lines of communication, enterprise and bravery, speeches on the battlefield, and much more. Translated from the original French by Sir George Charles d'Aguilar, a British Army officer who served as Lieutenant Governor of Hong Kong.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with minor rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with age toning to the endpapers.
