One of a series of popular scientific studies setting forth early twentieth century discoveries and investigations in Babylonian, Assyrian, and Egyptian history, as well as their religion and archaeology. The first English edition, translated from the original German by Jane Hutchinson, the original German edition appearing the year prior. 

This volume explores the biblical story of Babylonian and Hebrew Genesis, with chapters on the Creation, Paradise, the Early Patriarchs, and the Flood. By Heinrich Zimmern.

Condition

In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally generally sound, with shelf wear and soiling to the wraps, a minor staining mark to the front wrap. Lacking the rear wrap. With some chipping and minor loss to the spine. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean.
