    First edition of this work, uncommon in all editions. A pictorial study of Napoleon's history, featuring three hundred and thirty reproductions of famous paintings. With an introduction and descriptions by John L. Stoddard. Illustrating Napoleon's career and meteoric course of his progress from Corsica to the Throne and from the Throne to St. Helena.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally smart with minor shelf wear, bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities, with minor loss to head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Page clean with a touch of age toning, as usual with the type of paper used.
