Juliette Recamier was a French socialite and the owner of a salon frequented by numerous important French political and literary figures. Her admirers include Lucien Bonaparte, Prince Augustus of Prussia, Jean-Jacques Ampere, and Chateaubriand.

A limited edition, with six hundred copies produced only, this being No. 199.
Signed by the author to the limitations page.
A contemporary inscription reads, Mrs Sanders, with M. Addlesham's best wishes, Xmas 1901'.
Illustrated with portraits throughout depicting the contemporaries, admirers of the subject, as well as the subject herself.
Condition
In a full cloth binding; rebacked preserving the original boards and spine. Externally generally smart; original cloth is a little worn. Internally, generally firmly bounf. Pages are bright and clean.
