    The first edition of this delightful collection of short stories or anecdotes about various animals. 

    Each of the one-hundred anecdotes in this volume tells a short story about the behaviour or actions of a different creature, with the animals featured ranging from the domestic housecat to the exotic lion or monkey. Some stories are based on real-life events, while others are purely fictional.

    Each of the one hundred anecdotes is accompanied by a charming illustration by Percy J. Billinghurst, known for his detailed and charming pen-and-ink drawings, and his ability to capture their personalities and expressions.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with bumping to spine head and tail. Hinges lightly strained, but firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally clean and bright, with the odd handling mark.
